JoLo

 

The abbreviation Jo (instead of Joseph) was initiated by Lotte Carlebach.
”Uncle Jo” and “Aunt Lotte” – their joint code name became JoLo.
There are only rare pictures of JoLo together,

but there is one of a joint, very rare visit with their friend Dr. Henry Hirsch and wife in 1935

before their hasty escape.
