Altona around 1933

I can still remember many other places and street names, however I cannot find the right street; my sense of direction in my own hometown seems to have disappeared. Should one go left or right, straight ahead or around the corner? Where should one cross the street, so as to arrive somewhere?
And thus a feeling of anguish overwhelms me: where do I find refuge, a hiding place that promises security in moments of danger and persecution? And even if such a place exists, who can tell me how to get there?
